Our approach to finding an executive who adds true value to your management team is a blend of structure and intuition. The requisite skill sets and required experience are analyzed and developed along with the subtle nuances associated with successfully integrating the right individual into your organization.

EXECUTIVE SEARCH PROCESS

  1. Develop an understanding of the organization

  2. We will meet with key members of the team, at your discretion, to learn more about company structure, operations, management strengths and opportunities for your organization. Additionally, we will review relevant documents including business plan summaries, product and marketing literature and organization charts. Review of these materials prepares us for discussing the company and position with prospective candidates and enables us to assess possible candidates in terms of their styles and "fit." Be assured, all confidential information will remain confidential.

  3. Develop the position description

  4. The position description outlines the basic responsibilities, title, reporting relationships, compensation, education, experience, and personal characteristics required to perform in the position that we are retained to help fill. It will be developed following our initial meetings and, once approved, it will serve as a selection guide during the course of the search.

  5. Identify qualified candidates

  6. A search to locate persons with qualifications that closely match the requirements sought is initiated after the position description has been finalized. To assure you of a comprehensive and thorough search, we include in our evaluation process any potential candidates for this position whom you are currently considering or may consider. Our experience shows that the best candidates are discovered through original research that is custom designed for each search engagement. Accordingly, while we routinely utilize file scanning to discover the identities of possible candidates known to the firm, telephone networking into target organizations expressly locates individuals who meet the position description and who have demonstrated accomplishment and success in positions that match the requirements.

  7. Interview candidates to define strengths and weaknesses

  8. The best-qualified potential candidates will be personally interviewed to evaluate their accomplishments, capabilities, style, and potential. Following the interview of all potential candidates, a "short list" or panel of final candidates will be developed. Written confidential reports describing the past work experience, education, and other relevant information are prepared for each candidate.

  9. Present the best qualified candidates

  10. The final panel of candidates best qualified for the position is presented for your consideration. Additional meetings with others may follow an initial meeting with your management team in order to choose the candidate who represents the best fit. Our client usually makes the final selection and offer of employment. However, we are available to assist you in negotiating appropriate compensation and structuring the employment offer.

  11. Conduct reference checks

  12. To protect a candidate's confidentiality, we generally conduct multiple reference checks only after an expression of strong mutual interest. At your direction, university degrees and other pertinent information including credit checks and financial status are confirmed on the selected candidate prior to being hired.
